  • Plum Tree Court is operated in partnership with BC Housing, Plum Tree Court is a 6-unit housing complex located on North Pender Island.

    Although we are dedicated to housing security for all ages, these six units are specifically designated for 55+.

    BC Housing provides a mixture of affordable housing supports to this site, which vary by unit. The current unit available, Unit #3, is supported to “Affordable Market Rent”.

  • Each unit is half of a duplex and approximately 600 square feet with a single bedroom, an open living-dining room, a small kitchen and single bathroom. Each unit is provided with a single parking spot, enclosed storage space attached to the unit, and a deck. The units are single level and have a ground entry without stairs, however the units were not designed to be accessible and do not accommodate residents with mobility constraints or in wheelchairs.

  • There are 6 units, all of similar construction at this site. The site is managed by the Pender Islands Housing Society who provides external maintenance for the buildings and grounds.

    There is a single, shared laundry room.

  • Unit #6 is supported by BC Housing as an “Affordable Market Rent” unit. This unit’s rental rate is $1200/month + $200 per month for utilities (water, hydro, and garbage). The rental rate is subject to annual reassessment on the anniversary of tenancy.

    Tenants may choose to apply for SAFER which is rent supplement available directly to lower income seniors through BC Housing. (Learn More)

    A damage deposit and pet* deposit (if applicable) will be required.

  • Rental Process

    Step 1: Please submit an application (Available Here) either by email to plumtreecourt@gmail.com or in person to our open houses (October 7, 12-2pm).

    Applications are due October 13, 2023.

    References and consent to a credit check are required as part of the application process.

    Step 2: The Board of Directors will review applications and select the most appropriate tenant based on our housing criteria. Priority will be given to Pender residents living with a lower income level.

    Step 3: Move in date is December 1, 2023. The successful applicant will be required to submit a BC Housing Declaration of Income and Assets and sign a lease agreement.

  • This is a smoke free residential community.

    Tenants may be allowed two pets. Each pet must be under twenty-five (25) pounds or twelve (12) kilos. Pet deposits will be required.
